Geography • Area :692.7 sq km • Area Comparative :slightly more than 3.5 times the size of Washington • Climate :tropical, hot, humid, rainy, two distinct monsoon seasons • Terrain: lowland and a natural preserve • Elevation :lowest point Singapore strait at 0m and the highest point is Bukit Timah • Natural resources :fish and deepwater sports • Geography note :focal point for Southeast Asian sea routes

  4. Food • They eat a lot of rice and sea food. • They also eat a wide variety of Chinese, Indian, Malay and Japanese. • One dish I found is a chicken dish with shallots or onions and seasonings.

  5. Holidays • Vesak day celebrates the birth of Buddha. It is the holiest of Buddhist holydays. • National day celebrates the gaining of Singapore's independence in 1965.

  6. Language • Xie xie is thank you. • Qing is please. • They speak Singlish. That means they can speak Malay, Chinese, Tamale and English.

  7. Sports and Games • Soccer, badminton, basketball and golf • Sports jogging, swimming and walking • They play a lot of water sports because Singapore is an island.
