  22. Networking Ideas • Here are some great networking ideas from our very successful members…….

  23. Life is a referral business- Networking for fun & profit • Arrive early and with a great attitude! • Have your “30 second commercial” ready. Be able to BRIEFLY describe your product or services • Arrive at the event with a clear goal in mind.Examples:1. “I will talk to 5 people I have never met before.”2. “I will always ask the person I am talking to if they know someone who can use my service or products” • Networking is about building relationships

  24. Great listeners make the best conversationalists • People love to talk about themselves. Don’t try to sell your product or service on the spot, make an appointment to follow-up • Start a lead file using the business cards you receive at networking events • Make notes on the back of the cards about the person you have spoken to and use that information in your follow-up calls • Master networkers are those who work the “weak links” • Spend time talking to people you don’t know well, and ask them if they will refer you to someone who can use your product or service

  25. Life Is a Referral Business • Networking is not about numbers, it is about relationships People do business with people they know • View all encounters as an opportunity to introduce yourself to someone new or to find out something new about a person you already know • Some other networking options include: - Working on a committee - Participating in focus groups • Good luck and remember – Life is a Referral Business!

  26. Your Chamber • Thank you for your great support !
