  3. Challenges of new environment • Lack of info on shops/ restaurants/ friends in the neighbourhood • Transportation • Language barrier on products • Budget/ finances • No friends, no family • Weather- constant need for an umbrella!

  4. Background and motivation • Different food traditions- challenge to adapt to new environment • Need for information on wide variety of food ingredients, restaurants • Best prices and quality • Networking with people of different backgrounds • Ease of access of android

  5. Melting pot Aim: Developing a platform for the students to communicate and exchange information with each other As designers, we have created only a foundation of the app and it is completely customizable by the users enabling them to develop and improve it themselves
