  20. Formal Region • Uniform/Homogeneous Region • Everyone shares distinctive characteristics • Examples: • Language • Climate • Political Ideology (Red Republican State) • Used to describe patterns of a region

  21. Functional Region • Nodal Region • Organized around a focal point (node) • Reception of TV station • Distribution of Newspaper (Gazette)
