  2. Gateway • Ted Waitt founded Gateway in 1985 in an Iowa farmhouse, and Gateway quickly grew into a multibillion-dollar Fortune. With a $10,000 loan guaranteed by his grandmother, a rented computer and a three-page business plan, Gateway turned into a revolutionary company whose innovations shaped the technology industry. • Gateways stock symbol is GTW.

Gateway history • 1985, Ted Waitt founded Gateway in an Iowa farmhouse. • 1989, Gateway starts selling computers online. • 1992, Gateway offers customers a choice of software at no extra charge. • 1996, Gateway introduces a nationwide network of retail stores where customers can test drive products, get advice from tech experts, and learn more about technology in innovative, high-tech classrooms.

The company does as KeyTronicEMS to highlight its focus on electronic manufacturing services. • They provide printed circuit board assembly, tooling and prototyping, box build (completely built) systems, and plastic injection molding. KeyTronicEMS is a leading innovator in custom molding and tooling. They have built a reputation as a partner for leading companies in the computer, telecommunications, medical device, consumer and automotive industries • In addition, Key Tronic offers services such as engineering, logistics, and testing.
