2. Present Progressive Present Progressive in Spanish is a complex verb form that tell what is happening right now.
It consists of a helping verb estar and a participle.
The participle is formed by adding either -ando (for ar verbs) or -iendo (for er and ir verbs) to the stem of the verb. The participle otherwise never changes its form.
