  1. Program Evaluation Plan Report Board of Education Meeting August 11, 2011 Employee Safety

  2. Purpose of the Program • Student and/or stakeholder needs addressed by the program • The safety and well being of all who are in and around our facilities.

  3. Service Delivery Model • All incidents and causes are reviewed monthly at the safety committee meeting. • During the monthly meetings we discuss best practices and avoidance techniques. • The building representatives review information at their respective staff meetings. • Monthly safety newsletter distributed • The building representatives conduct safety inspections of each facility every semester.

  4. Progress Toward Previous Program Goal GOAL: Reduce the number of safety related incidents from 51 to 48 (5%) GOAL STATUS: 62 incidents occurred in the 2010-2011 fiscal year DEPLOYMENT LEVEL: • Services are well deployed, although deployment may vary in some areas or schools.

  5. Future Program Goals to be Evaluated • Reduce the incident rate from 5.42 to 5.15 (5%) • The national Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor rate for the 2009 was 4.8 • The state of Missouri was 4.6 • Reduce the number of cases with days away from work from .72 to .68 (5%) • The national Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor rate for the 2009 was 1.5 • The state of Missouri was .9 • These 8 cases resulted in 224.5 days of missed work

  6. Plan for Evaluation Measurable Outcomes Data Collection Methods • 5.15 incident rate for the 2011-2012 school year • 0.68 missed work days rate. • Observations • Document reviews • Surveys and questionnaires
