  5. Developmental education includes: • coursework • all forms of learning assistance, such as tutoring, mentoring, and supplemental instruction • personal, academic, and career counseling • academic advisement --National Association for Developmental Education

  6. “Remedial” Based on a medical model: • Diagnosis, Prescription, Remedy • Implies “fixing” something Re-teaching material Why inappropriate term?
