  25. Participants End-of-Grade

  26. Participants End-of-Course *Dual Enrollment Students are exempt from designated EOCs. See Student Assessment Handbook (SAH) for guidance. ** Coordinators must tag GAVS students under Testing Codes in eDIRECT.

  27. Participants End-of-Course Dual Enrollment/Move On When Ready (MOWR) EOC Exemptions • For applicable dual enrollment courses, • students earning an A (90-100) shall count as “Distinguished Learners,” • students earning a B (80-89) shall count as “Proficient Learners,” • students earning a C (70-79) shall count as “Proficient Learners,” and • students earning less than a C (70) shall count as “Beginning Learners” in CCRPI indicators that utilize achievement levels.

  31. Understanding Georgia Milestones as an Online Assessment

  32. Georgia Milestones • 100% online for EOC and EOG since the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year. • Flexible scheduling added for EOG 2018-2019 • Additional flexible scheduling options for EOC • Addition of Technology-enhanced item types • Rapid return of scoring • Ease of set-up and administration • Additional universal tools for all students • Standardized accessibility tools for accommodated students • Paper forms are available for those students who cannot access the online assessment due to their disability.

  33. Advantages of Online Testing • Improved student experience • Standard administration of accommodations • Reduced irregular test administration • Reduced stress on district, school, and teachers • Improved test security • Matches Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for use of technology in writing • Example: ELAGSE3W6: With guidance and support from adults, use technology to produce and publish writing (using keyboarding skills) as well as to interact and collaborate with others. • Reflects technology use found in college and career

  34. Online Readiness • Meeting with Technology Director and Site Technology Technicians • Ensure technology staff is aware of the local assessment calendar • Determine Site Readiness • Review Bandwidth and Network Needs • Ensure installation of Central Office Services • Ensure installation of INSIGHT • Along with technology staff, participate in training webinars • Establish and review technology troubleshooting protocol • See INSIGHT Training recording • Resources found at: http://ga.drcedirect.com

  35. Central Office Services(COS) • Central Office Services (COS) will be used for content caching. The TSM will no longer be supported. • Requires download of only the content appropriate for a specific testing site • Allows download of content once for use by multiple COS Service Devices. • Supports up to 950 testing devices per service device without manipulating settings on machine • Allows configuration and management of COS Service Devices in the COS-Device Toolkit in eDIRECT • Ability to manage Georgia Milestones and WIDA ACCESS on the same device

  36. eDIRECT Accounts • STCs are responsible for ensuring eDIRECT accounts are current and appropriate personnel receive the correct permissions.

  37. Test Tickets will print one to a page, and Each Test Ticket contains the student’s username and password for the test session. Note that the student will have a separate Test Ticket for each section of the test. Test Tickets Test Rosters The Student Test Roster contains a list of students and the usernames and passwords for each student. If a student receives an accommodation, it will be noted here To avoid a student testing under another student’s GTID, you must : Print ALL Student Tickets. Have students verify their name and test name are correct and sign the ticket next to their name. If a change is made to a student record (e.g. adding an accommodation), create a new test ticket for that student, which will have a new login/password.
