Scientist Research Calendar Update and Physical Science Assignments for January 22, 2014

Welcome back to a new semester! Please review your Scientist Research calendar. The Make-Up or Replacement event is scheduled for January 22 at MVUSD or UCR. In Physical Science, please complete the following homework: Write four questions related to the "Compound Basics" article and summarize the key points. Additionally, create a MESA T-Shirt for UC Riverside’s MESA Day, due January 16. Don’t forget to sign up for MESA events. Ensure your notes are complete in the ISN and include visuals and vocabulary definitions.

Physical Science p. 1, 4, 6January 13, ‘14 • HW: Write four questions over notes taken from “Compound Basics” article in class and write summary. • W-U: Define compound. • Obj.: New seats, write the Scientist Product to be turned in and in pairs or by yourself, read article, highlight important facts, take notes in ISN. • PB: Write agenda, W-U, new seats, write down Science Research product, read Compound Basic article, write notes from article

MESAJanuary 13, 2014 • HW: Create 2 MESA t-Shirt for UC-Riverside’s MESA Day and for the Southern Region due Jan. 16th (limit colors to 3) show front and back; be prepared to register for MESA day Jan. 15th in computer lab • Obj.: Discuss our T-shirt: Limit color to three or pay $20 per shirt. • Obj.2: Sign Up for Mousetrap Car, EggXpress, Solo Math, Team Math and Eye Model
