  1. ISTC Project # 2845Investigation of simultaneous signal propagation from the sources of infrasound and seismic waves for improving the performance of the infrasound method of monitoring the conduct of nuclear tests (continuation of the research under ISTC Project No. 1341) Anatoly Baryshnikov Sergey Kulichkov

  2. TASKS Collection of infrasonic and seismic data from large quarry explosions, 0 <E< 1000 t tnt (Moscow, Obninsk, Apatuty)  Collection of meteorological data (balloon, rocket)  Modeling of infrasound propagation (ray theory, TDPE code, etc.)

  3. Progress of Work Plan Implementation Specialists of Kola Regional Seismological Centre carried out preliminary processing of infrasound and seismic data acquired in 2006-2007. Work was carried out on selection of data acquired while simultaneous recording of seismic and infrasound signals from the same source. Infrasound and seismic data is transferred to the leading executive (RIPT); data analysis and processing were carried out. Specialists of KRSC carried out continuous recording of seismic and infrasound data during the whole period, its preliminary processing and archiving; work on studying meteorological data near seismoacoustic proof ground was executed. There were carried out works on recovery of spatial acoustic filters system and routine maintenance of equipment constituting seismoacoustic system configuration.

  4. Progress of Work Plan Implementation The basic sources of signals: In the Kola peninsula and in Karelia mining works are carried out that are accompanied by rather large blasts. In addition in August, 2007 Finnish servicemen started destructing old weapon and armament

  5. Progress of Work Plan Implementation Example of record of the Finnish explosions

  6. Progress of Work Plan Implementation Data on temperature and wind velocity (15 rocket profiles; z=0-60 km) Infrasonic signals from explosions  Model to forecast infrasonic field at the long distances from explosions (expanded possibilities: TDPE; ray theory)  Perspective models to processing infrasonic data (morphological analysis; etc)

  7. Progress of Work Plan ImplementationSites of Explosions (Zh), stations of Balloon (B) and Rocket (R) sounding
