  1. Elements Chart: Romeo & Juliet Act II scene2 “How doth one speak?”

  2. Dialogue: • -conversations between characters • -write an example from the play in your notes (include citation)

  3. Monologue: • -long speech by 1 character to 1 or more other characters • -write an example from the play in your notes

  4. Soliloquy: • - “solo”  talking to yourself, thinking out loud so the audience knows your thoughts. • -write an example from the play in your notes

  5. Aside: • -short speech / whisper so only 1 or a few characters (and of course the audience) can hear • -write an example from the play in your notes

  6. Metaphor / Simile: • -Oh come on!!!You know this! • Write your OWN definitions for each term here in your notes • -write an example from the play in your notes
