  2. A lot of work has been done.. A lot has still to be done • Preparatory Observations Program –Status • Radial velocity : Strategy for follow-up observations • Photometric Survey : the BEST telescope • Stellar radius estimation : a critical problem HARPS, CORALIE & SOPHIE: the guaranteed time will not be sufficient Proposals to be submitted in the open time 1 or 2 field(s) can be monitored per season Expected accuracy: 20%??? COROT Asteroseismology results are urgently required !!

  3. Complementary surveys : • Background contamination in the exofields : • Strategy for the follow-up observations : should be set up during CW6 Jean Surdej will coordinate a XMM proposal – mid 2004 Strongly dependent on the direction:  anticenter: 2 stars included in the PSF  center : up to 15 stars included in the PSF, depending the stellar density ..

  4. Questions to the ExoSide: • Validate the fields list with priority levels • Would you like to keep the possibility to re-observe the same field ? Yes !! Drift of the orbit or no drift? Yes, after the nominal lifetime of the mission
