Our School Values Ambition Respect Excellence Pastoral Support Team House Groups – Annick, Barra, Lomond & Nevis. There are 4 Pastoral Support Teachers: Mr Carr, Mrs King/Mr Ross, Mr Reid, Mrs Mayes. The Pastoral Base is in B Block and all Pastoral Teachers also have a classroom.

How are classes decided? • Siblings already at Ardrossan Academy. • Gender balance within classes. • Mix of different primaries within each class.
Our Expectations of Pupils Arrive in school on time wearing uniform. Come prepared. Follow the instructions of the class teacher. Try your best. No mobile phones on in class. Concentrate on tasks set. Respect other pupils, teachers and your learning environment. Be safe. Get involved!

Extra-Curricular Programme In Ardrossan Academy there are a lots of clubs and extra curricular activities, such as: Drama Club Homework Club Choir Sports Science Club School Show School of Rugby & Basketball Fair-trade Eco Council Pupil Council
Ad Astra Award • The Ad Astra Award is a new initiative being launched in school this session which aims to promote and reward consistent pupil application and achievement in class. • Teachers will enter merits for each pupil in each of their class for meeting the following criteria on a consistent basis:- • Ad Astra Behaviour • Ad Astra Effort • Ad Astra Uniform • Ad Astra Respect (timekeeping/respect shown) • Ad Astra Contribution (e.g homework/input into lessons)
Ad Astra Award Pupils who meet expectations and achieve the Ad Astra Award target will have the opportunity to participate in a ‘reward activity’. Pupils who meet the Ad Astra Award target in both phases (October & February) will receive the overall Ad Astra Award. The school will host special Ad Astra Award ceremonies in March 2015 and parents/carers of award winners will be invited to share in the success of all the young people who achieve this award.
