Habitat Destruction: The Crisis Facing Our Rainforests and Wetlands
Every day, vast acres of rainforests and wetlands are lost, with 60% of former rainforest land now only 30% remaining. This destruction causes hundreds of animal species to become endangered daily. Overfishing has severely impacted fish populations, such as the arapaima. Rainforests are vital for our ecosystems, supporting diverse plant and animal life. The alarming rate of habitat destruction threatens biodiversity and the overall health of our environment, calling for immediate action to protect these crucial habitats.
