  2. RESIDENCY • NAU offers 8 separate waivers to receive in-state tuition: • Company Transfer • Military • Full or part-time teacher • Native American • Good Neighbor Policy • Immigrant / visa status • AZ Spousal domiciled • Western Regional Graduate Programs (WRGP)

  3. Western Regional Graduate program (WRGP) – For students • Offers in-state tuition to some out-of-state students • Who are residents of specific states or US Territories, and • Enrolled in specific programs • For information and eligibility, see www.nau.edu/wrgp • Qualifying master’s students who qualify receive 6 consecutive semesters of in-state tuition • Qualifying certificate students receive 3 consecutive semesters of in-state tuition

Western Regional Graduate program (WRGP) – For students • WRGP rates ONLY apply to incoming students • WRGP rates cannot be granted to currently enrolled students • Qualifying students should complete the WRGP Application as part of the on-line graduate application or contact Karen.Cornelius@nau.edu

Western Regional Graduate program (WRGP) • Interested in getting WRGP tuition rates for your program? • Contact your Department Chair • The Graduate College will send an email to all department chairs in October with instructions for how to apply. • WRGP applications for new programs must go through an approval process

  6. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS • Graduate College deadlines for international student applications is • March 1st for Fall admissions • October 1st for Spring admissions • Departments may have earlier deadlines for international students • International students cannot be admitted unless the Graduate College receives: • Graduate Admissions Application • Official transcripts • TOEFL or IELTS score

  7. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS Time is of the essence if you are accepting an international student! • Depending on what country the incoming student is from, receiving a F-1 or J-1 visa can take anywhere from 3-6 months • Notify the Graduate College at the time of the admission decision if you will award a graduate assistantship or tuition waiver • Without financial award information, the I-20 process cannot be completed and the student cannot be awarded a visa to attend school
