  4. About our teaching methods: Our Mission: The mission at Blowing Bubbles Swim School is encourage a love for swimming while ensuring each student learns important swim skills in a safe, fun and encouraging environment. Our Philosophy: We believe that safety is the number one priority, so we work hard with our students to ensure they understand how to act responsibly around water. We prepare our students by repeatedly practicing swim techniques that help them build their skillset and become better swimmers. Learning is a lifelong skill, so we offer weekly lessons year-round to ensure our students are constantly developing their techniques.

  5. How do we TEACH? The most important thing to learn is SAFETY, BREATH CONTROL and BODY POSITION. We ensure our curriculum incorporates all three. First (the most important level) we start with getting the child comfortable in the water by getting their hair wet and getting them used to the water. We believe that incorporating play allows the child to feel more at ease. We focus on introducing the child to breathing and back floats. Its important for the parent to work with their toddler in the beginning and give off positive vibes and encouragement. 6. Guppy: In this level we only allow two students to one teacher. These children are between the ages of 10 months-3 years and they are in the transition level between baby/toddler and independent swimmer. We work to teach them safety rules and prepare them to be safe and independent swimmers. The main skill focus is buoyancy and water safety. Flounder: This class structure is four students to one teacher. At this level students are introductory independent swimmers and will begin learning their first stroke. The main focus is breath control and scoops (freestyle). Star: At this level the child is completely independent and water safe. This level does require the most effort before students can move onto the next level. They must master their body position, arms movements, breathing and proper kicks. The main focus is further developing scoops and learning backstroke.

  7. Champ: Students are taught all four strokes and work with instructors to improve technique. They work in groups of four students to one instructor. The main focus is perfecting technique. • Pro: Children have mastered all four techniques and continue to work one-on-one or in group of four classes to improve technique, breathing, kicks and independent needs. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-9IC7Z2ZgA
