  3. Text Organization 1 I am trying to decide whether to buy a coat with a zipper or buttons. I like a zipper because it is easy and fast to close. I like buttons because they don’t get stuck like a zipper sometimes does. Of course, buttons can come off and get lost. But zippers can break.

  9. Text Organization 7 Did you ever wonder why cats purr? When a kitty climbs into your lap and curls up, you almost always hear a purring noise. Cats purr when they are content. They enjoy the warmth and comfort of your lap. Most people feel relaxed when the cat purrs.
  10. Text Organization 8 Salt Dough Clay Ingredients 1 cup of salt 1 cup of flour ½ cup of water Directions Put the flour and salt in a large bowl and mix well. Make a hole in the center of the flour/salt mixture. Pour the water into the hole. Stir and knead until the mixture is smooth and can be shaped. Use the clay to make sculptures or ornaments. Dry them in the air. Paint your projects after they are dry. [Clip art spec: a big bowl and spoon]
  11. Text Organization 9 When days grow shorter and the temperature cools in fall, changes take place in nature. Trees stop making the chlorophyll that kept them green during summer. Leaves glow with yellows, reds, and oranges that were hidden before. Birds gather in flocks and migrate south to warmer places. Squirrels begin saving seeds and nuts to eat during winter. Insects lay eggs that will hatch when spring comes.
