  13. His practice is located at 155-A Lincoln Square Mall, Urbana.

  14. Acupuncture is the treatment of disorders by inserting needles into the skin at reflex points of the body. It is one of the oldest, very safe, methods of treatment.

  15. Hey, my lower back pain. It’s gone! About 10 pins are inserted at points such as the knees, fingers, toes, and ears and stay in about 3 to 5 minutes. Then clients rest for about 30 minutes.

  16. The pins go superficially into the outer layer of the skin and create a feeling of relaxation.

  17. Community Acupuncture is held in a large room with recliner chairs where clients enjoy the treatment as a group.

  18. The treatment is good for pain and stress and all the conditions listed on his handout. He also provided a map of points on the body where each condition is treated.

  19. The best way to know if acupuncture is for you is to try it. Each of us received a card for a free treatment. Side effects include relaxation and an increased sense of well-being.

  20. We had questions: Does it interact with drugs you may be taking? No, sometimes it takes more treatments if a person is taking steroids.

  21. Areresults immediate or are a number of treatments required? That depends on the condition and the person. Sometimes it takes several treatments. Will it make us stay awake in meetings? Sorry, no. What about weight loss?

  22. Yes it can reduce cravings. Please see: www.urbana-acu.com or make an appointment at (217) 344-9118.

  23. Thank you, Jim for a very interesting presentation.
