  1. FEATURES ANALYSIS OF NETWORK TOPOLOGIES Awais Qureshi 2013-GCUF-12374. Mr. Altaf Saeed Department of Computer Science

  2. Introduction • Network: A network is a series of points or nodes interconnected by communication paths. • Topology: The physical and logical structure of network. Physical topology refers to the physical layout of a network , specifically the physical positioning of nodes and the circuit that interconnects them. Department of Computer Science

  3. Introduction • A network can be defined as a group of computers and other devices connected in some way so as to able were exchange to data and to do we require specific pattern which is near to the Topology come in use. Topology defines the structure of network. There are two parts to define the Topology: physical Topology and logical Topology. Physical Topology referred to the physical design of the network. Device includes the device location and cable installation. Logical Topology referred to how data is actually transferred. In a networking general physical Topology generates to a core network and logical Topology relates to basic network. Topology can be understood by the shape or the structure of the network. Data flow is an important parameter of the network for avoiding transfer during the data pass through the network. Department of Computer Science

  4. Problem Statement • Topology is the layout of networking. If more than one system connected with internet within organization then it is necessary for organization to adopt any Topology for communication medium between systems for all over the world. In the whole world topologies are used in all organizations for networking. Each Topology has its own advantages and disadvantages comparison of different topologies is still grey area therefore, this study will provide the competitive analysis between the different Topologies and their performances. Department of Computer Science

  5. Aims & Objectives • The main objective of this research is to find out the suitable Topology overall cost, performance and functionality. Different topologies have different constraint over research based on which Topology is best for network in different environment. The important constraint a bandwidth limitation, number of cluster attached to the network devices and hierarchy of network. The focus is on good Topology, low cost, low average network delay and low maximum number of hopes between source and destination pair. Department of Computer Science

  6. Literature Review • (Santra and Acharjya, 2013) Described that lately for figuring, dispersed PC frameworks have turned out to be essential issue. It conveys top of the line execution with ease. Appropriated registering frameworks have the crucial part of developing data innovation. Some information of examination methodologies for managing system Topology related issues I given. The procedures secured in this discourse can be adjusted to related PC system applications. This exploration work can likewise be amplified further. • (Preetija et al. 2013) Presented the few logical models of interconnection systems of multi-group frameworks under uniform movement example have been proposed in the writing. A productive correspondence system for elite multiprocessors must give low dormancy memory get to and message transmission. It has the point of interest to devour less directing assets than the Fat-Tree. Department of Computer Science

  7. Literature Review • (Absar et al. 2014) Elaborated that the execution of star Topology in a Small Internetworks. In this system model, general LANs models are utilized and environment is created to use common impacts of applications. It is found that reproduction time is directly proportional to number of hubs. With the assistance of OPNET programming can figure out the most extreme number of hubs. So before actualized basically we can discover the breakdown estimation of server. • (Aguire, 2015) Presented one of the primary tests in the execution and configuration of setting mindful situations are the satisfactory arrangement procedure for remote sensor systems. A seasoned originator of remote sensor organize typically effortlessly distinguishes which are the most suitable locales to locate the hubs of the system, yet a consequent exploratory approval is required. In request to guarantee that the system operates as per the prerequisite set by the client for such reasons, displaying and investigation of WSN needed. Department of Computer Science

  8. Methodology of Research • For the conducting this research it is necessary to gather full fledge information about the network topologies for analyzing their behavior as well as their requirements. Therefore, first of all, this research conducted literature survey. After gathering information of all network topologies then critically analyze Pons and cons of each topology. After compiling the analysis, the finding of research will report to literary society. Department of Computer Science
