Division of Federal ProgramsDr. Robert Ketterer Charter School (RKCS) receives the following federal funds. • Title 1, Part A – all students in RKCS are eligible for funds (School-Wide Program) • Title 1, Part D - Residential Programs only – Scatena and Middle Creek 1 & 2 • Title 2 – Professional Development for Educators – all teachers in RKCS • All are federal dollars and administered by the state

Title 1, Part D Part D – Neglected and Delinquent • State awards funds to institutions (agencies) providing services • Our Agency - Adelphoi Village Group Homes • Local Education Agency (LEA) – Dr. Robert Ketterer Charter School Funding is based on the number of children served – a count is taken each year and submitted to the state. This generates our funding.

  4. Who is Eligible for Services? Title 1, Part D, subpart 2 – all students in a group home are eligible for services

  7. Types of Academic Services • Teachers go into the English and math classrooms to assist students • Students are enrolled in Math Proficiency and Language Arts Proficiency classes.

  8. Supplies Supplies for students include among others: Calculators, classroom resources Library supplies Token rewards to improve classroom behavior

  9. Technology Students each have a laptop to use in Proficiency Classes. Smart Boards for presentations are available in every classroom Students use software to help them with PSSA/Keystones preparation (Study Island) and improving math and language arts skills (Successmaker). .

  10. Title 1- Part D Supplement not Supplant – program is to support regular class room initiatives and content. Not a School-Wide Program but follow SWP Title 1 and regular classroom teachers work together as a team to help your student. If your child receives special education services that department is included in the team.

Evaluation of Program • Student progress BASI (Basic Achievement Skills Inventory) Study Island gains Successmaker gains Teacher Assessments • Program Initiatives Surveys help us evaluate our program Annual faculty team meeting to evaluate program and data Meetings such as Parent Involvement Day allows you to make suggestions and comment about our program.

Title 2 – Professional Development • Stipends for time spent outside of the workday (evenings, weekends and summer sessions) and registration fees and expenses for training • Concentration is content area and technology integration and curriculum development • Feedback from the parents last year was used when planning for this school year.

  14. Adelphoi Promise • “Finishing Adelphoi is not an ending…. it’s the beginning of a journey that offers a world of possibilities” • Up to 2 years tuition free at affiliated Community Colleges. • WCCC, BC3, BCCC, CCAC
