  6. RULE 5: If you win do not brag; If you lose do not show anger  

  7. RULE 6: If you are asked a question in conversation, ask a question in return. Did you have a good weekend? Yes, thank you. It was great. How was your weekend?

  8. RULE 7: Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough and then say excuse me. Excuse me! NB

  9. RULE 8: Do not show disrespect with gestures.

  10. RULE 9: Always say thank you. Thank you for the help!

  11. RULE 10: When you receive something, do not insult the gift or the giver. Thank you for the present! 

  12. RULE 11: Surprise others by performing random acts of kindness. Can I help you?

  13. RULE 12: When doing a peer assessment activity, give peer the correct grade.  She’s my friend. Should I give her the extra mark?

  14. RULE 13: Follow along when we read together in class.

  15. RULE 14: Answer all written questions with a complete sentence. The fish was blue green in colour.

  16. RULE 15: Do not ask for a reward. I got the answer right, can I get a sweet? 

  17. RULE 16: You must complete your homework every day. I left all my homework until Thursday. Now I have too much!

  18. RULE 17: Classroom movements between periods will be swift, quiet and orderly.

  19. RULE 18: Be as organised as possible. My school bag is packed and ready for tomorrow! 

  20. RULE 19: When homework is given, do not moan or complain.

  21. RULE 20: When a substitute teacher is present, all class rules still apply.

  22. Don not speak unless. • You raise your hand and I call on you. • Spoken to. RULE 21: Follow the specific classroom protocols.

  23. RULE 22: You may bring a bottle of water to class; you may not leave for a drink of water during class.

  24. RULE 23: Know other teacher’s names and greet them in the hall by name. Good Morning Mrs Schoeman.

  25. RULE 24: Keep yourself and the bathrooms germ-free.

  26. RULE 25: Greet visitors and make them feel welcome. Hello! Welcome to our school.

  27. RULE 26: Do not save seats.  Those chairs are for my friends

  28. RULE 27: Do not stare at learners who are being reprimanded.

  29. RULE 28: Ask your teacher if you have a question about homework or don’t understand.

  30. RULE 29: Follow the ABC’s of Eating Etiquette.

  31. RULE 30: After eating your food be responsible for your litter.

  32. RULE 31: On a bus, always face forward.

  33. RULE 32: When meeting new people, shake hands and repeat their name. Pleased to meet you George. Hello, my name is George.

  34. RULE 33: When offered food take only a fair share. Thank you very much.

  35. RULE 34: If someone drops something and you are close to it, pick it up. I’ll pick it up for you.

  36. RULE 35: Hold the door open for people rather then letting it close on them. 

  37. RULE 36: If someone bumps into you, say excuse me, even if it was not your fault. Sorry, are you ok?

  38. RULE 37: On excursions, enter a public building quietly.

  39. RULE 38: On excursion, compliment places you are visiting. This museum is very interesting

  40. RULE 39: During an assembly, do not speak or call out to a friend. 

  41. RULE 40: At home, answer your phone in a polite and appropriate manner. Good afternoon. How can I help?

  42. RULE 41: When returning from an excursion, shake the hand of every chaperone. Thank you!

  43. RULE 42: On escalators, stand on the left, walk to the right.

  44. RULE 43: When walking in a line, keep your arms at your sides or behind your back and move quietly.

  45. RULE 44: Never cut in line.

  46. RULE 45: No talking during a movie. No Talking!

  47. RULE 46: If anyone is bullying you, let a teacher know. I must tell a teacher!

  48. RULE 47: Stand up for what you believe in. Isn’t he beautiful?

  49. RULE 48: Be positive and enjoy life.

  50. RULE 49: Live so that you will never have regrets.
