  4. Disability • Became deaf at the age of 3 • Cause for hearing loss has never been pinpointed, but it is thought to be genetic

Affects of disability • Taunted in elementary school- called “four ears” • Wore “bulky” hearing aids • At age 9, he was attacked on the playground by 5 children • Hearing aids not helpful when playing football • He had trouble when he first started playing football because the players would wear mouth pieces and the coaches did a lot of twitching and shouting
