President – Mr Derrick Brookfield www.tickhillridingclub.co.uk 2012 CLUB SHOW SCHEDULE 15 April, 27 May, 17 June, 15 July, & 12 August NEW REVISED CLASSES FOR 2012 • GREAT VALUE! - JUST £3.00 PER CLASS! • OR ENTER 4 CLASSES FOR £10! • MORE SHOWING CLASSES • MORE SHOW JUMPING CLASSES • ‘NEW’ IN HAND CLASSES • CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS • CLASSES FOR MORE ADVANCED RIDERS • RIDE MORE THAN ONE HORSE OR PONY The usual Age Group Classes remain but there are also many NEW Classes ‘OPEN TO MEMBERS OF ANY AGE ON HORSES OR PONIES’ These include: *BEST RIDING CLUB TYPE CLASSES,* NOVICE AND OPEN WORKING HUNTER CLASSES, * 6 NEW IN HAND CLASSES, * 6 NEW RIDDEN CLASSES,* OPEN JUMPING CLASSES AT 50CM TO 1.00M,* PLUS A FUN JUMPING CLASS IF TIME AND INTEREST PERMITS.

  2. RING 2 – 10.30 a.m. BEST TURNED OUT HORSE/PONY & RIDER -Lead Rein,12 years & under, 13 to 16 years, and 17 years & over. To be judged as one class but points will be allocated on and Age Group basis. The class may be split on the day if there are sufficient entries. EQUITATION - Lead Rein EQUITATION - 12 years & under EQUITATION-13 to 16 years EQUITATION - 17 years & over BEST RIDING CLUB TYPE * - 14.2hh & under. Open to members of any age. BEST RIDING CLUB TYPE * - Over 14.2hh. Open to members of any age. *Best Riding Club Type Classes to include a small individual show and a small jump(s) Lead Rein will be trotting poles. NOVICE WORKING HUNTER - Open to members of any age. Max Height 50cm. If you enter this Class you can’t enter Classes 9-12 on the same horse/pony. WORKING HUNTER -12 years & under. Max. Height 60cm WORKING HUNTER -13 to 16 years. Max. Height 70cm WORKING HUNTER -17 years & over. Max. Height 80cm. OPEN WORKING HUNTER - Open to members of any age.Max. Height 90cm RING 3 – 11.30 a.m. All classes in this ring are open to members of any age IN HAND TURNOUT & CONDITION IN HAND MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND OPEN BREEDS - Excluding Mountain & Moorland. IN HAND VETERAN - Horse/pony to exceed 15 years in age. IN HAND COLOURED - Piebald, skewbald, palomino, appaloosa or dun. IN HAND OPEN NEW/NOVICE RIDDEN SHOWING COMBINATION - The judge will give advice. You can’t enter Class 24 with the same horse/pony. RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND RIDDEN OPEN BREEDS - Excluding Mountain & Moorland. RIDDEN VETERAN - Horse/pony to exceed 15 years in age. RIDDEN COLOURED - Piebald, skewbald, palomino, appaloosa or dun. RIDDEN OPEN RING - T.B.C * GYMKHANA - Lead Rein GYMKHANA-12 years & under GYMKHANA -13 years and over* The Ring to be used will be announced during the day. • MAIN RING – SHOW JUMPING - 10.30 a.m. • CLEAR ROUND - 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Pay at the Ring - £2.00. • MAX. 50CM - a) Pony, b) Horse. • MAX. 60CM - a) Pony, b) Horse, c) 12 years & under. • MAX. 70CM - a) Pony, b) Horse, c) 13 to 16 years. • MAX. 80CM - a) Pony, b) Horse, c) 17 years & over. • MAX. 90CM - a) Pony, b) Horse. • MAX. 1.00M - a) Pony, b) Horse. • OPEN FUN CLASS - Class type announced on the day if sufficient time and interest, the class could be for example: Speed Class, Pairs or Accumulator etc. • All Show Jumping Classes Sections a) and b) are open to members of any age – excluding Lead Rein. Section c) of the relevant classes are for Specific Age Group’s only.You can’t enter section a+c or b+c of the same class on the same horse/pony at the same show.If insufficient entries then classes may not be split a) and b) and ponies and horses will compete together. Otherwise all class sections will jump the first round together and then there will be separate jump offs for each section. • No horse or pony can jump in more than 3 of the Show Jumping Classes 28-33 at the same show – The Open Fun Class doesn’t count.

  3. ADDITIONAL TROPHY CLASSES At the following shows there will be additional classes for annual trophies. Members must have competed at 3 Club Show’s during the season to be eligible to win these trophies at Presentation Night 27 May – Ian Bryce Memorial Gymkhana Trophy – Enter Classes 25 to 27 on this date for the annual trophy competition.15 July – M & M Handy Pony Trophy – Enter the following classes on this date for the annual trophy competition:H1. HANDY PONY – Lead Rein H2. HANDY PONY – 12 years & underH3. HANDY PONY/HORSE – 13 to 16 years H4. HANDY PONY/HORSE – 17 years & over 12 August – Roger Stubbin’s Memorial Puissance Trophy – Enter the following classes on this date for the annual trophy competition:P1. PUISSANCE – 12 years & under P2. PUISSANCE – 13 to 16 yearsP3. PUISSANCE – 17 years & over 16 September - Open Dressage, Club Dressage and Combined Training – Sue Fisher Memorial Dressage TrophyThe members who score the highest % in the 12 years and under, 13 to 16 years and 17 years and over tests will win the annual trophies. All classes are open to MEMBER’S ONLY. ALL CLUB SHOW CLASSES COST JUST £3.00 EACH TO ENTER! OR YOU CAN ENTER 4 CLASSES FOR £10! If you have more than one horse or pony you must nominate one of them at the start of the season for club points. You can however enter any of the classes you are eligible for at Club Shows on any other horse or pony. You wont gain club points but will be eligible for place rosettes on the day. For club events the age for all the year events is at 1st January 2012. Lead Rein competitors must be 5 years old by 15 April 2012. Lead Rein competitors are not allowed in any Show Jumping or Working Hunter Classes, and they must remain on Leading Rein at all times whilst on the Show Ground. AGE GROUP POINTS TROPHIESThe usual Age Group trophies will be awarded to the members who score the most points in their Age Group classes over the season in: Best Turned Out (Class 1), Equitation (Classes 2-5), Working Hunter (Classes 9-11), Gymkhana (Classes 25-27) and Show Jumping (Classes 29c,30c & 31c). The Veteran Trophy will also be awarded to the member who scores the most points over the season in the In Hand Veteran Class (Class 16). NEW CLASSES All the new classes - Best Riding Club Type (Classes 6-7), Novice Working Hunter (Class 8), Open Working Hunter (Class 12), all the In Hand Classes (Classes 13-18 excluding Class 16) all the Ridden Classes (Classes 19-24) and all the Open Show Jumping Classes (Classes 28-33 Sections a+b) will score the top 4 placed members - per show, points which will accumulate over the season and the member who scores the most points at the end of the season in each class will receive a Champion rosette at Presentation Night. If however the new classes prove popular we may award trophies for all these classes too. The Fun Jumping Class is just for fun and not for points!NEW TROPHIESThere will also be new trophies for the following:Leading Show Jumper Of The Year - awarded to the member in each Age Group who accumulates the most show jumping points over the season from the maximum 3 Show Jumping classes per Club Show they are allowed to enter. In Hand Champion * – awarded to the member who accumulates the most points over the season from Classes 13-18 inclusive.Ridden Champion * – awarded to the member who accumulates the most points over the season from Classes 19-24 inclusive.* We may also award separate Junior (16 & under) and Senior (17 & over) In Hand and Ridden Champion Trophies if there have been sufficient entries through the season.

Membership is £25 per season for existing members (if paid before 31 January rising to £27 after this date) and £27 for new members. • Membership also entitles you to reduced entry fees at Open Shows. Membership forms can be downloaded from the website or filled in on show day. • You must attend at least 3 Club Show’s to be eligible for trophies at Presentation Night.Club Dressage on 16 September also counts as a Club Show but other Open Shows/Events do not count. • Hats must be worn and harnesses must be correctly adjusted and fastened. Hats must be to the following standard: PAS015: 1998 or 2011, BSEN 1384: 1997. EN1384: 1996, all SEI, ASTM F1163: 2004, SNELL E2001, all SAI AS/NZS 3838 2003 or 2006. • Members are responsible for any damage caused by their horse/pony and it is in their own interests to make sure they have adequate insurance cover. • Tickhill Riding Club will not be held responsible for any accident to horses, riders, spectators or property. • The following are not allowed to be ridden at any Tickhill Riding Club event: ponies/horses that are very young, or infirm through old age, ill, thin, or lame; or that are a danger to their riders or other members or their ponies/horses. • AT ALL CLUB EVENTS ONLY MEMBERS’ HORSES AND PONIES ARE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD FOR INSURANCE REASONS. • Tickhill Riding Club is affiliated to the British Horse Society and is in Area 16.By joining our club you will become a BRC member. This entitles you to: • Third party insurance cover whilst competing at affiliated BRC events. • Discounts off various products and services (see the BRC website for details) • The quarterly BRC Rider Magazine. • Members also have the opportunity to represent our club at British Riding Clubs Area 16 Qualifiers and Championships in all disciplines. There are various summer and winter competitions in dressage, show jumping, style jumping, combined training, horse trials and show cross. There are team, pairs and individual competitions for Juniors and Seniors. The dates for the Summer 2012 qualifiers are as follows:22 April, Combined Training at Brooksby4 June, Horse Trials at Shelford10 June, Dressage at SheepgateT.B.C.
