Enhance Tennessee Knowledge in Schools: The Need for Voluntary Funding

A recent survey of 100 students at Murrell School reveals alarming gaps in Tennessee history, geography, and culture. Only a small percentage can identify state features, presidents, or historical events. This lack of local knowledge hinders students' understanding of their role in the community and the world. With state resources averaging only 2 pages in textbooks on Tennessee, and a library with minimal Tennessee titles, we propose an increase in funding. An investment of $780 over three years could significantly enrich students' knowledge with 30 essential titles. Join us in bridging this educational gap!
