Task Structure The way lessons are organized and what students are asked to do. It involves whether the teacher is working with the whole class or a small group. Also, involves the type of work students are expected to complete.
Goal Structure The amount of interdependence required of students as they perform their work. Three types of goal structures: individualistic, competitive, and cooperative.
Individualistic Goal Structure Requires no interaction with others.
Competitive Goal Structure Students can achieve their goal if other students fail to achieve theirs.
Cooperative Goal Structure Students can only achieve their goal with help from other students.
Reward Structures Alsoare individualistic, competitive, and cooperative.
