  1. Quotes in the Classroom Comments from my Kindergartners on using technology in the classroom Fall, 2009

  2. Student Opinion Poll on Technology in the Classroom

  3. Computer Center Here, students use a program called Lexia, a reading intervention program. It took me a year and a half to get these two computers in my classroom, and you can see from the picture they are quite obsolete already.

  4. Bringing Scio Into the 20th CenturyIn a rural school district like Scio, many parents do not have internet access, or the access they do have is dial-up. Many websites are next-to-impossible to navigate with dial-up Internet. This makes the Internet more of a frustration and less of a helpful tool. This provides less support for our district developing best practices in technology.

  5. Computer Access in my Classroom

  6. What is the computer for???

  7. What is the Computer For……Continued

  8. What do you do on the computer???

  9. What do you think about the computer???

  10. And my job is… Clearly, my kindergartners have much to learn about what the computer is, does, and is for. Obviously they have figured out the fun part of the computer. But, what about research, communication, digital photography, critical thinking, problem solving and all the other wonderful things about using the computer? I want my students to learn all those wonderful things and it starts in my classroom! Thank you!!!! ~Charyse M. Appledoorn Hill~
