Team R.I.C.E. proposes a sustainable agricultural service aimed at decreasing methane emissions while improving rice yields in the Philippines through mid-season drainage and the use of ammonium sulfate fertilizer. This innovative approach addresses the rising methane from wetland rice fields, amidst a need for enhanced rice productivity in the country. Our strategy not only conserves water but also aims to boost the local economy by creating jobs and supporting farmer communities, contributing to both domestic and global environmental efforts.
