  1. She’s Got Your Eyes Visual Rhetoric Presentation By: Anne Kauffman

  2. This Ad shows how our society today revolves so much around entertainment and TV. TV shows contain a large amount of violence whether verbal or physical. Children are learning from TV how they should treat people, and at such a young age children's morals and ethics are being shaped and created.

  3. Audience The audience is everyone who has any form of media (TV, radio, internet, newspapers, and etc.) in their life. Media can effect your opinion and views, and not just children's views its adults too.

  4. Focus The focus in this photo is the eye it’s the very first thing you see. It draws your attention because it emphases' the eyes by contrasting the rest of the photo. At first glance you don’t realize what the eye actually is, after realizing it the eye gives the photo a much deeper meaning.

  5. Original Purpose The original purpose of this photo was to show people and make them realize children see and learn a lot through watching TV, and it effects how they see the world.

  6. Composition • The way the photo is framed greatly effects the picture. The way it is framed it is only half of a face. No specific details of the child just a simple beautiful innocent child's face.

  7. Symbolism TV has a lot of violence it can effect how you view and treat your family and friends. This photo is saying TV is the future eyes of our society because media impacts the views of generations of our society and without it our world would be very different.

  8. Appeal Logical appeal- The photo relates to our society today and our future society. Ethical appeal- This picture questions ethics and if it is right to let children be parented by their televisions. Emotional appeal- The photo takes much greater effect because of the young innocent child, it touches your emotions

  9. Juxtaposition Underneath the TV which is in place of the Childs eye is the phrase ‘She's got Your Eyes.’ This compares our views to this young Childs views. Through TV a child can see a lot of pain, and suffering, they see things young children are not meant to see. Because of TV she's sees what we see things children aren't meant too.

  10. Questions Why did the photographer use a child? Do you think TV has effect on children's morals? How would TV effect someone's views?
