Teacher Orientation

Welcome to Heald College! As a faculty member, you have three accounts: Healdnet, MyPortal, and Student Network. Each has unique username and password configurations. Use Healdnet for corporate email and access it via myportal.heald.edu. MyPortal allows you to update grades, with the same username as Healdnet. The Student Network is for classroom computer access, and its username format is firstname.lastname. Keep these details in mind to effectively navigate your responsibilities at Heald College.

  2. Accounts • You have 3 different accounts • Healdnet • MyPortal • Student Network • Each of these accounts have different username/password configurations

Healdnet • Your Healdnet account is used for • Corporate email • You can check this by going to myportal.heald.edu and clicking “employee webmail” button • http://webmail.heald.edu • Instructor Workroom Computers • You must log into a computer in the Instructors Workroom before you will be able to access this from anywhere else • Your Username will be the first letter of your first name followed by your last name. • I.E: Jacob Ruggles’ username is jruggles

  4. MyPortal • Myportal is used to • Update grades • You can access this by going to Myportal.heald.edu • Your Myportal username is the same as Healdnet login – the first letter of your first name followed by your last name. • I.E: Jacob Ruggles’ username is jruggles

  5. Student Network • The student Network is used to log into the student computers in each classroom • You have another email for this account • Many students will send emails to this account instead of your healdnet account because of the similarities. • Your Student Network username is your firstname.lastname. • I.E: Jacob Ruggles’ username is Jacob.Ruggles
