  2. An Antagonist Is someone that provides a conflict within the story, or in other words, opposes the main character, making it harder for them to accomplish something.

  3. Notice the picture Above. The bad guy tends to wear a darker color, whereas the good guy wears a lighter color. The antagonist shown above would be in black, most likely accusing the main character of something, or causing some type of trouble.

  4. This picture could be another example. Perhaps one is blocking the others path, making him an antagonist.

  5. Stealing candy from a baby is a classic form of antagonism. The man steals the candy from the baby, causing a problem for the baby, or even the mother of the baby.

  6. In this scenario, the antagonist would be nature, because this tree has fallen down and blocked the way of these fine gentleman.

  7. Without Further Delay Here are a few more examples of antagonists and main characters that everyone should be familiar with. The name of the antagonist will be displayed before the protagonist’s name.
