Your Tasks for Today • Revisit the following ICE quote paragraphs: • YOUR evaluation of Rikki-tikki-tavi(the first paragraph you ever wrote for a grade for me) • The example/sample ICE quote paragraph that is on my website and/or in your notes (we wrote it together during one of the first weeks of school) • After you have carefully revisted both of those and any necessary feedback, you are going to write an ICE quote paragraph that answers this question: Is Kij Johnson, the author of “Ponies,” an effective storyteller?
Processing this assignment • Keep in mind, your paragraph should include: • (3) appropriately punctuated ICE quotes • Transition words/phrases to cue your reader from one idea to the next (The first place this can be seen, another place, etc.) • You can either use (1) criteria and all examples support that, OR, you can you use (3) different criteria (just make sure your topic sentence supports it! • Evidence of editing and revision • SHARE this to jfurne@mypanthers.org by the time class begins tomorrow. It should be titled like this: 4, Brown, Charlie, ICE Review
