  6. Creating Scans • Think about what you are trying to accomplish with your scan • Target specific pages/transaction paths • Test run scans first with lower level settings to make sure they do what you want, then let them crawl deep • Include only the checkpoints you need • Plan your scans…

  9. Running Scans • Consider the size of your scan • How many levels? • How many pages? • Consider the checkpoints • Checkpoints can eat up time • Consider the load on server or network load • For scans that take time, schedule them to run during off-peak hours
