Final Project Preparation for Flash Web Design Course

This week in Art 257: Motion Graphic Design, students will focus on finalizing their Flash web design projects, due next Thursday. The agenda includes discussions on building Flash websites on a timeline, incorporating external assets like SWFs and JPEGs, and implementing interactive elements.   5. :: Final Assignment final design due : 11.02.06 • Art 257+258 Flash Web Site • Figure out what flash site you are going to design and build • Things to keep in mind: • What will be animated and what will be static? • What elements will be interactive? Any advanced rollover states? • What transitions will there be between pages/sections? • Begin designing either in Illustrator/Flash (for vector based designs) or Photoshop (for raster based designs) or both for a combination of graphic elements. Note: vector flash sites are lighter and more flexible, therefore the preferred design application for flash sites is either Flash or Illustrator. • Sketches, sketches, sketches!!! • Be prepared to start coding/building while you design. • Be prepared to do some code tests while you design. • The final design is due next week (Thursday). • Post a link to your design(s) off your class webpage before class on 11.02.06.
