Promoting Land Rights in Southeast Asia: Insights from Myanmar, Nepal, and the Philippines

This document outlines key presentations from delegates representing Myanmar, Nepal, and the Philippines, focusing on the Governance of Tenure of land, fisheries, and forests. It highlights the GEC's significance in promoting land rights for all genders through its 6 criteria and 22 questions. Recommendations for training and simplifying GEC for farmers are proposed, alongside an overview of VGGT (Voluntary Guidelines) accepted at a national level and the LAND MATRIX's role in tracking land deals. This initiative aims to create a robust action plan among farmers, NGOs, and governments for better land governance.
