  1. Setting up the SMART Board

  2. Shut down and turn off your computer before proceeding!

  3. Set the SMART board approximately 6 feet from projector 6 feet

  4. Set the pens and eraser in the appropriate trays

  5. Locate the SMART board connector

  6. Plug the funky-looking end into the serial port on the computer Look for this symbol

  7. Unplug the keyboard connector from the back of the computer and plug in the adapter in its place

  8. Plug the keyboard connector into the adapter

  9. Connect the other end of the SMART board connector into the SMART board

  10. Setting up the Projector

  11. Locate the projector connector and power cord

  12. Unplug the monitor from the back of the computer. Plug in the projector connector in its place.

  13. Plug the connector from the back of the computer into the RGB 1 slot.. Plug the connector from the monitor into the RGB 2 slot

  14. Plug the power cord in to the projector, then plug the cord into a power strip.

  15. Turn on the main power switch at the back of the projector, then press the power button on the top

  16. Turn on and log in to your computer

  17. Orient the SMART board This process gets the SMART board ready to use with your computer

  18. Adjust the distance between the SMART board and the projector so that the computer screen fills the SMART board

  19. At your computer, from the SMART board software menu, select Orient

  20. At the SMART board, follow the directions on the screen to orient (match it up) with the computer
