Ready to Work • Once HR has indicated you have completed all necessary forms/training • You should return to yoursupervisor to set up working hours, etc • Discuss with your supervisor how you contact him should you be ill, etc • Students who do not report to work and do not contact a supervisor may be terminated
Documentation of Work Hours • Hours worked must be recorded on the NDSCS Paysheet. • The paysheet is available on HR’s webpage. • You will complete Paysheet B • Please choose the correct date • It is important to discuss with your supervisor: • How to record your hours • What computer will be used to save it • How to submit to supervisor, etc
Paysheet • Enter name and Empl ID (student ID) • Enter the hour/minute you begin/stop work • Ex: If you start work at 10:30 and stop work at 12:30 • Enter a 0 in the final calculation box & tab over • The paysheetcalculates hours worked
Paysheet Submission • Paysheets are submitted to your supervisor the first working day following the last day recorded on the paysheet • Enter your email address • Type your name as your signature • Enter your supervisor’s email address (be sure it is correct) • Click the submit button next to your typed name. This will send it to your supervisor • Once your supervisor signs it – you will get an email acknowledging that it has been submitted to payroll
Payday • Payday is the 15th and last working day of each month • NDSCS is on a payroll lag. Ex: hours worked from December 1-15th are paid on December 31st • Unless otherwise notified, paychecks are direct deposited the morning of payday. • You can access your “Self-Service” by clicking on the link on the HR home page. • Your log in will be the same as campus connection • For more information on Self-Service please view the “self service training” on our training page
