  5. PBL says: NHD students: • List possible problems • Look at the topic from multiple perspectives • Find diverse sources to provide balance of perspective • Choose appropriate category for the topic

  6. PBL says: NHD students: • Describe possible solutions • Arrive at conclusions of longterm analysis • Demonstrate understanding of historical concept of cause and effect

  7. PBL says: NHD students: • Calibrate your project • Critique each others’ work • Use the network of NHD resources to evaluate their own work • Use what they learn to strengthen their own work

  8. PBL says: NHD students: • Describe the task • Write a process paper • Write an extensive annotated bibliography that describes content knowledge • Responds to judges’ interview questions

  9. PBL says: NHD students: • Reflect on the Learning • Receive evaluation sheets from judges at every level of competition • Use those critiques to improve their work effort
