appearance • Robins have brown feathers on the head tail and back the breast is a bright red color the male and female look similar .
food • Robin are omnivores (plant and meat eaters ) they eat worms seeds fruits and insects .
young • The female robin builds a cup shaped nest made from grass and mud in trees and shrubs . She lays 4-6 light blue eggs the baby birds hatch after 12-14 days
Interesting fact • Pictures of robin were first used in Victorian times to remained people of the post men who wore red tunics . The postmen were called red breast. We still call robins ;robin redbreast
