Exciting Updates from Third Grade: Tests, Learning, and Upcoming Events!

It’s been a busy week in 3rd grade! We’ve successfully completed our Reading and Math MAP Tests, and I’m proud of everyone's hard work. Please check your student’s agenda and homework each night, along with the Thursday Folder for vital information. We are focusing on identifying character traits in reading, responsible citizenship in Social Studies, and solving multiplication problems in math. Important upcoming dates include Labor Day (9/2), Grandparent’s Week (9/9-9/13), and the Book Fair (9/23-9/27). Don’t forget to RSVP for Grandparents Lunch and save your boxtops for new books!

  1. Placido’s Post August 29, 2013 What’s New in Third Grade? We have had a busy week in 3rd grade! We have completed both our Reading and Math MAP Tests, and I’m happy to say everyone worked very hard! Please continue to check your student’s agenda and homework each night and look through the Thursday Folder. Lots of important information will be coming home each week! What We’re Learning Upcoming Dates Reading – Identifying Character Traits in a Text Social Studies – Being responsible citizens and following the rules! Writing – Writing notebook entries about personal experiences. Math – Solving multiplication problems using multiple strategies! 9/2 – Labor Day, No School! 9/9 – 9/13 – Grandparent’s Week 9/23-9/27 – Book Fair 9/25 – Early Release Day 10/14 -10/18 – Fall Break 10/23 – Picture Day Reminders! • Please RSVP for our Grandparents Lunch by Wednesday! Slips are in Thursday Folders! • Please save your boxtops for our classroom! We hope to add new books to our library with our boxtop money!
