Motivation • In this contribution, we provide and revise description on the channelization parameters such as center frequency, channel bandwidth, and primary channels for each simulation scenario in the current simulation scenario document [1] Suhwook Kim, LG Electronics
Channelization parameters in SS document • Center frequency and channel BW • All BSSs either all at 2.4GHz, or all at 5GHz • [20MHz BSS at 2.4GHz, or 80 MHz BSS at 5GHz] or {…} • Primary channels • Scenario 1: [Random assignment of 3 non overlapping channels ] • Scenario 2: Ch1(BSS 1, 5), Ch2(BSS 2, 6), Ch3(BSS 3, 7), Ch4(BSS 4, 8) • Scenario 3: [] • Scenario 4: {Frequency reuse 1 is considered: all BSSs are using the same 80MHz channel} and [Primary channel position TBD] Suhwook Kim, LG Electronics
Channelization parameters • “Center frequency and channel BW” should describe channel selection of each BSS • Current “Primary channels” needs to describe more information of primary channel • We propose to clarify each scenario considering • 2.4GHz and 5GHz • Channel selection (in managed or unmanaged network) • Channel bandwidth (e.g. 80MHz in 5GHz) • P2P interference • Regulation (e.g. DFS) • Frequency reuse (1 or 3) • Different operator in case of scenario 4 (outdoor) Suhwook Kim, LG Electronics
Scenario 1. Residential • Channel selection of each BSS is done randomly since it is an unmanaged network • Common home AP will be available to select DFS channels in residential environment • As the baseline, we assume that DFS and non-DFS channels are used Suhwook Kim, LG Electronics

Scenario 2&3. Enterprise & Indoor Small BSS Hotspot • Coordinated channel selection are expected since it is a managed network • 5GHz band usage will be preferred for a better performance • As the baseline, we assume that DFS and non-DFS channels are used • P2P interference will be randomly selected in non-DFS channels Suhwook Kim, LG Electronics

Scenario 4. Outdoor Large BSS Hotspot • 5GHz band usage will be preferred for a better performance • We assume that there is one available 80 MHz channel for outdoor in 5 GHz band due to transmit power regulation • Frequency reuse is 1 since only one 80MHz channel. • The case that there exist different operators may be considered Suhwook Kim, LG Electronics
