  1. Peer Mediation

  2. Introduction Some P6 pupils have been trained in Peer Mediation. Peer Mediation is a meeting between two people who have fallen out. The two people will talk about what has happened and will agree what will happen next.

  3. Our Promise • We promise to keep what you tell us private. • We will need to speak to a teacher if we are worried about anything. • We will tell you if this is going to happen.

  4. Rules • You will have 3 chances to interrupt the other person. • If you do interrupt 3 times we will have to stop the meeting • You can come back when you have learnt the rules. • You must listen to the peer mediators. • Use a classroom voice, do not shout at each other.

  5. When?!? • Every day! • Morning interval • Lunchtime from 1pm until 1.20pm. • Not during wet intervals and lunch.

  6. Where Primary 1 and 2 • Wait at the Friendship Stop • The Friendship Stop is in the P1/2 playground near the large pencils. • The peer mediators will help you.

  7. Where Primary 3, 4 and 5 • Room 3.10 (Mrs Gordon’s room). • Come into the corridor through the doors from The Street. • You have special permission to come in if you wish to see Peer Mediators. • Remember you are not allowed in for any other reason.

  8. Where Primary 6 and 7 • Room 6.21 (Mr Rodger’s classroom). • Come into the corridor through the doors from The Street. • You have special permission to come in if you wish to see Peer Mediators. • Remember you are not allowed in for any other reason.

  9. DRAMA Clare, Erin, Laura and Milla will now act out a short scene to demonstrate how Peer Mediation works.
