  2. Project title and main donors • Title: Integrated and Inclusive HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Project • Donors: Undergoing • Total budget estimate (activities): USD 14,826,288

  3. Period of implementation and geographic location • Period: 5 years from approval of funding • Location: 12 Counties out of 47 Counties in Kenya

  4. Overall and specific objectives • Overall: To contribute to reduced HIV and Sexual and Gender-based Violence prevalence; and improved quality of life of people infected and affected by HIV and survivors of Sexual and Gender-based Violence in Kenya. • Specific: To enhance access to and utilization of inclusive and integrated HIV prevention, treatment, care and support; Sexual Reproductive Health; and Sexual and Gender-based Violence protection services among vulnerable groups in 12 Counties for a period of 5 years.

Project Expected Results • Result 1: Behavior change among target population through increased uptake of integrated and inclusive HIV, SRH and SGBV services. • Result 2: Improved capacity of project partners/stakeholders to provide quality inclusive and integrated HIV, SRH, SGBV services to target populations. • Result 3: Enhanced social participation among PLHIV and survivors of SGBV through mitigating initiatives. • Result 4: Enhanced coordination and networking among HIV, SRH, and SGBV implementing partners and services providers.

  12. Main Achievements • Project sites identified • Partners and collaborators in respective counties identified • Gap analysis, lessons learned, logical framework, narrative proposal, action plan and budget done

Main lessons learnt during project proposal development • Participatory approaches help in identifying existing strengths, weaknesses/gaps, opportunities and defining roles of HI, partners and beneficiaries. • Developing project proposal is a process that requires time for consultation with partners, target beneficiaries and stakeholders; literature review; and validation of data used in the proposal. This is important in selecting appropriate interventions and setting of realistic targets. • Proposal development requires focused and committed leadership so as to guide and sustain momentum in delivering quality document on time.
