Understanding Student Growth Ratings: A Guide to Scoring and Evaluation

DESCRIPTION

This document outlines the criteria for evaluating student growth utilizing a comprehensive rubric. It emphasizes the importance of including at least two measures of student growth, which can be sourced from state, district, school, or classroom assessments. A score of "1" in any growth measure leads to a Low growth rating, which significantly impacts the summative rating for teachers. Evaluators categorize teachers based on score bands, illustrating the potential consequences of growth scores on overall performance ratings.
