Extra Help and Make Ups Spanish II and III • Most days I am here till at least 3:30, many days till 4:00 or even later. • Students should check my board each week for my after school availability or ask. • My prep/dean/lunch periods are : • 3 • 4 • 5- even days • 6 • 7 • 10- odd days • If students make plans with me ahead of time, I will be able to work with them during these times.
ELA AISGrade 7, 8, 9 • Student centered • Teacher directed Priorities: • Success in Mrs. Abby’s ELA class • Success on state exams • Success on other assessments that measure ELA skills • Strengthening reading and writing skills for success in all areas of school and life By the way…. I AM certified to teach English, even though I’ve been teaching only Spanish since I’ve been at WVCS Activities in class will be designed to focus on these priorities. There are no grades and no homework but it is not a studyhall. Students will have instruction, practice, direction for the class period. Sometimes we will work on an assignment they have due for ELA or another class. Sometimes we will do something “extra.”
