  2. What I Decided To Do Plant Geneticist • I have been clueless for a long time • I had thought about this career before • I think this will be very suiting for me

  3. Where I plan to Attend • I am a state fan so MSU would be great. • MSU • Ferris State

  4. Credits • I have to take 120 credits graduate • Minor Courses • Specialty Classes

  5. Why ? • Plants have always interested me • Most of you know Mrs. Genter • It is an interesting job

  6. Skills I already Posses • I am fairly good at mathematics • Skills the job relies on most interest me • I am patient • I have some knowledge that may be useful already

  7. What Do They Do? • They can improve existing plants • They can breed plants to create a new specie

  8. Plans Once I’m In • Find a job • Work my way up the ladder • Eventually lead my own research • Change the world

  9. After I have job I will… • Get a masters or higher • Possibly get a second degree

  10. Salary • Somewhere in the $50,000 range • Depends on how much experience you have • It also depends on your specialty

  11. Specialty I could specialize in… • New fuels • Foods like wheat, corn ,soybeans • Breeding • All different fruits to modify and specialize in • Grape specialists is called a viticulture

  12. Where I Could To Work • Places that offer employment… • Colleges • Public Sector • Private Sector • Foreign Countries
