  5. Information about Green day Green Day was founded in 1987 when Billie Joe (singer and guitarist) and Mike Dirnt (basser) two friends decided to form a band. After a while Billi decided to join John Kiffmeyer (drummer). The band was called Sweet Children but later changed by  he name Green Day.
