Serving a total of 1132organisations 415Members with IPv6 prefixes (~30 % of membership ratio but only 15 % visibility) Training Stats for 2014: +300 engineers attended 7 IPv6+INRM workshops conducted in 7 countries
Interesting projects • RPKI: Continue working on our RPKI service. • DNS Anycast service for our infrastructure and extended to ccTLDs: More than 20 ccTLDs using the service now. • WHOIS database clean up • Routing Registry & Web update • New WHOIS (Based on RIPE java code) • Extension of MyAFRINIC to fully integrate Billing. • Portal for new membership & resource requests
Development and Cooperation • The Fund for Internet Research and Education (FIRE) was initiated in 2007. • Grants and Awards programme designed to encourage and support the development of solutions to information and communication needs in the African region. • A financial support of USD 10 000 is granted to Innovative Projects: - Under Three funding categories: • Innovation on Access Provision • E-Development • Freedom of expression • FIRE is part of the Seed Alliance together with FRIDA (LACNIC from Latin America) and ISIF Asia (APNIC from Asia Pacific).
