  2. AfriNIC Mission AfriNIC is a non-governmental and not-for-profit membership based organisation. Its main role is to serve Africa region as Regional Internet Registry, alike the four other continents which have their own RIR. Its mission is to serve the African community by providing professional and efficient management of Internet Number Resources, supporting Internet technology usage and development, and promoting a participative and multi-stakeholder approach to Internet self governance.”

Projects on going • Project learn.afrinic.net as dedicated website for AfriNIC Training activities • Launched AF6TF (African IPv6 Task Force) on 21 March 2012 (www.af6tf.net) • IPv6 webinar organized by AfriNIC, ISOC and Orange on 21 March 2012 where there was over 70+ participants form all over Africa region. The next on is for 23 April 2012. • AfriNIC is conducting its first member and stakeholder survey during upcoming months • Data Integrity project • Abuse Contact Information in the AfriNICwhois db under implementation process
