Area Posting and Training Requirements

For personnel working in controlled areas where radioactive materials are present, specific training requirements must be met. The General Employee Radiation Training (GERT, EHS0470) is mandatory, as is Rad Worker I Training (EHS0471) for those entering areas with radiation levels exceeding 5 mrem/hr at 30 cm. Additional training may be mandated based on the work authorization from the Radiation Protection Group. For further details, please contact David Kestell at the EHS Division (x7157).
